Clear Aligners :

Clear Aligners areclear aligners a great alternative for patients who want a straighter smile but do not want to wear traditional metal braces or for patients who have had orthodontic treatment in the past and want to make minor corrections to their smile.

There are several advantages to using clear aligners

Clear aligners are removable so it is easier for you to brush and floss after meals

Clear aligners are easier to keep clean

Clear aligners are comfortable and less likely to irritate your gums and cheeks

Clear aligners can prevent tooth wear from grinding

Invisibility: its main advantage is that it is virtually invisible.

Hygiene & convenience: the patient can remove the aligners when eating or brushing.

Comfort: custom fit and minimally invasive. No wires and brackets.

The aligners are completely transparent, therefore far more difficult to detect than traditional wire and bracket braces. This makes the method particularly popular among adults who want to straighten their teeth without the look of traditional metal braces, which are commonly worn by children and adolescents.

Ceramic Braces

There are now a number of options for consumers to straighten misaligned or wrongly angled teeth. You can have the traditional metallic braces which are proven to do the job but are plagued with a few unwanted disadvantages such as looking unsightly when smiling apart from clinically causing tooth decay and shortening of tooth roots.

One of the better options out there is using ceramic braces made of composite materials. They come in varying levels of transparency so you have ceramic brace that can take on the natural color of the teeth or are thoroughly translucent to be called clear ceramic braces and they do not stain. Three popular brands of ceramic braces include Mystique made by GAC along with Clarity and Transcend made by 3M Unitek. Most adults prefer ceramic braces because they blend in with the color of the teeth and are cosmetically less noticeable than metal.

Regular Braces

These are the metal brackets and wires that most people picture when they hear the word “braces.” However, modern brackets are smaller and less noticeable than the notorious “metal-mouth” braces than many adults remember. Plus, new heat-activated archwires use your body heat to help teeth move more quickly and less painfully than in the past.

Pros: Least expensive type; colored bands give kids a chance to express themselves

Cons: Most noticeable type of braces

Lingual Braces :

Lingual Braces are custom made fixed braces bonded to the back of the teeth making them invisible to other people. In lingual braces the brackets are cemented onto the backside of the teeth making them invisible while in standard braces the brackets are cemented onto the front side of the teeth. Hence, lingual braces are a cosmetic alternative to those who do not wish the braces to be visible.
